The word
This, like the other messages, is made up of rebuke, exhortation, and warning, but in this instance these are based upon the violation of the Palestinian Covenant (Deu 28:1-30); (Deu 28:9).

The Assyrian and Babylonian captivities of Israel and of Judah were the execution of the warning, (Deu 28:63-68).
holy flesh
See (Hag 2:12) that is, to what purpose the "holy flesh" of sacrifices? Its efficacy is "passed from thee" who rejoicest in evil.
